I absolutely hate not being all caught up with my school work. I always try my best to keep up with everything but having to remember things just doesn't work all the time. For the most part I always write things down but it doesn't necessarily make sense to write it just anywhere. I like to keep a paper planner and always write down everything that needs to get done. I find it very efficient and it always works for me because I like to color coordinate according to the importance of the task.
Procrastination is probably one of the worst things you can do as a student trying to be successful. I have learned this the hard way. Grades start dropping, you can't play your sport, you start having problems at home, and so many consequences can come from that. I have always been a very competitive person so once I realized that we are all basically in a competition to be within a certain percentage of our class I pushed myself to fight procrastination. First thing I do is check my planner and get my homework done. I see this as a priority and my conscience is clear because I know I'm caught up and ready for what is next.

Introduction
Hello, My name is Ruby. I am 16 years of age. I currently am a junior at Life School of Waxahachie.
I enjoy reading in my spare time. I play volleyball for the school. I have been in modeling since February of 2013. I have competed in 2 pageants within this time winning the titles of Cover Girl Miss Elegant 2013 and Miss Teen Dallas Latina Second Runner Up 2014. I have had many opportunities arise from my pageants. I have hosted red carpet events, done many interviews and walked plenty of runways. From this I have learned that looks don't mean anything if you don't have a nice, humble personality.
I decided to take college transition this year because i wanted to be exposed to any and all opportunities to prepare me for what is coming up within the next years.
